it's been a good week. and since it's the last day of 2004, i have to say it's a good year. but more of that later coz i want to talk about my week first.
sent the kain for tailoring on tuesday and had fun with my mom walking around talking about weddingy stuff. haha. Met Maria on tuesday evening, bought food for Mazreen at that saffron's place, sent it over to his khatib camp (Maria said he's nice because he waved at her, heh. i so know what she means. some guys pretend the girl's friends don't exist even though they are right in front of him) Went to fetch Farah at Somerset and then we went to Serangoon Gardens, where we had dinner and talked and all, that was fun.
I'm so lucky my bf is Mazreen.
Wednesday, went JB with parents.
Thursday, went out with Mazreen. Had breakfast at Mcdonalds, went to the bank to apply for his debit card.. went back to the car to find that my car kena saman! $30 for not putting coupons. And I didn't even realise that slip of paper til another driver who was waiting for my lot pointed it out.
Went to Safra Tampines after that - bowling 2 rounds (M won), then played some games at the arcade (M won again, but that was bcoz he cheated. I was ahead of him and he started pulling my steering wheel to the left, so he won.)
Went to Marina after that, for some flight-kying.. Mazreen was so cute, he aksyen only mcm expert in kite-flying, ordered me around to campak the kite skywards and all. Turns out after the whole thing, he confessed he never done kite-flying before. Haha. I got tired of running after the kite whenever it fell, so M decided to do it himself. He ran til the wind picked up the kite.... and looked stupid while doing it. hahah. After some time I decided what the hell, stupid pon stupid la. So I also ran til the wind helped the kite go up, and I got tangled up in all that string, and ducking whenever the kite went down and M said I looked stupid too and was laughing at me but he didn't know I was laughing at him too coz he looked dumb grinning while running trying to get the kite up. Haha.
After da sweaty and all from the running, he got the bottle of coke and we sat on the grass talking and looking at kids playing kites and all. alala. then we went to Marina, ate at Delifrance, and watched Meet the Fockers. Punyerlah kelakar cerita tu. And I realised me and M laughs at the same pts in a movie. heh.
Had dinner at Beach Road after that.... and went home.
sungguh fun. memories to store in the brain for when he goes to India for 3 months, I would be missing him like mad so I can just replay them in my mind. hahaa. I cannot think la of him going india, coz I would start being all emotional missing him already. hurhur.

and today. friday. last day of 2004. the year passed by so fast eh.
the tsunamis is a sad way to end 2004.. my mom has been trying to contact the indonesian embassy and bengkulu to check on our relatives there, coz my dad belatedly wondered if Bengkulu was hit by the tsunami.
it's been a good year Alhamdulillah. Never thought when I began this year that I would meet such a wonderful guy, never thought I would Insya'Allah be getting engaged soon. I've survived a year sorting out my finances to pay for a car and have remainder for me to go out and enjoy movies and whatever else. I still love my job after 2 years there (I actually miss my office after not going work for a week!) Highlight of this year, I can't name any one time... or maybe it would be the time when Mazreen first sent that sms to me, coz it was the start to this whole great thing.
2005 Insya'Allah would be a good year too.
I don't make resolutions or whatever coz I never stick to them, but I guess I could try to be a better person all around, to my family, to M. and to really sort out my finances, coz I need to save money now, hehe.
Oh. And Insya'Allah the additions to the family :) Now that's exciting!!

the most embarassing thing on earth just happened.
I just sent an sms to Mazreen, which is meant to be read ONLY by him.. (I wish I could write here what I sms, but I can't coz it's so embarassing, it's those kind of sms which is meant to be read only by your bf or gf you know?)
And his campmate read it! This Mazreen so pandai went to let his campmate play with his phone, and so his campmate pon gatal went to read it. I am so embarassed. I am so embarassed I want to dig a hole and bury his campmate there. (note: not bury me, as per usual embarassed statements. hehe)
But nasib baik his friend mcm buat bodoh only, at least tak kacau2 Mazreen about it. According to M's sms, "He read it and just ignore as if he didn't read anything. He handed me my phone, then I saw the sms from you."
Oh man, I'm so malufied now. I hope I don't see that campmate ever for the rest of my life (quite impossible, seeing that Mazreen is quite close to him)
Ish, malunyer!!

Mazreen read my blog, I suspect on Friday night, and he terlepas kata on Saturday morning. So he knew that I was planning a surprise thingy or whatever, and so the surprise didn't happen, coz I can't be bothered to go through with it when he already knows. sigh. He even said he wanted to tag as some anonymous person and suggest a few surprises that I could do, but he decided not to somehow. So pandai kan. I somehow didn't think that he was going to read my blog coz he hasn't done so for sooo long.. abis sekarang dia pergi baca. wrong timing betul ah.
but anyhoos. we did catch ocean's twelve. met up at 12pm, decided to take train to city hall. wanted to catch the movie at suntec actually - konon mcm first date (pasal kita first date kat Suntec. hurhur) - but ended up watching at marina coz it's so far to walk to suntec. had lunch at cavana, walked til marina. ocean's twelve was at 4.20 so we decided to watch kungfu hustle first. and how i regretted that decision, i tell you, coz kungfu hustle is such a crappy movie, me and mazreen were just watching dengan muka peng while the whole cinema was laughing out loud. tak faham betol. the only part that was funny was when there was a reference to Helen & Paris of Troy, but even then, it wasn't like funny laugh out loud funny.
Ocean's Twelve, on the other hand, was the best! Almost as good as Ocean's Elevan. and brad pitt is so gorgeouslicious, especially in those gray pants. It screams "LOOK AT MY BUTT!!" sexy sungguh. That Julia Roberts part was funny.. and look out for the last part during the.. you know, the last part when they say who act as what (damns I forgot what it's called) They said Introducing Tess as Julia Roberts. Isn't that so cutely funny?? Best the story, worth every cent. so go watch.
anyhoos. after the movie, we walked to Bugis and somehow ended up at Amirans (we should have went to Eatz19 instead, it looks much more sweeter with those candles on the table) and then we took a cab to Orchard Road, walked around a bit, and then took 65 home to Tampines.
It was fun, despite the no-surprises thing. 9 out of 10 by Mazreen.. I would give it 8 perhaps. haha.
He's taking leave on Thursday, and we're doing a kite-flying, picnic, and then bowling thing at Marina. I want to do the G-Max thing after watching it yesterday on Six Weeks (Channel i) tapi I think it's expensive kan? Like, $30 per person or something? Mahel kan.
Tomorrow meeting Farah and Maria. If Maria knows the way, I shall go fetch Farah from work.
I am having the worst pimple outbreak ever. Tmrw I'm heading over to Raffles Medical where my mom insists I should insist on a jab coz last time Aisyah had this too, and she got a jab and the pimples were gone the next morning. My face feels realllly icky right now.
--
the engagement date is changed to 29th January 2005, Insya'Allah, if nothing goes wrong. My mom called Mazreen's mom just now and they confirmed the date and time. (abt 5.30pm coz Bijal & Cik Saha kerja petang. Touching eh. haha)
Mazreen got confirmation from his camp that he's going India on the 6th of February (for three months!), but they can bring forward the trip up to one week or something like that. Plus if he is going on the 6th, I would rather he rests or whatever the day before.. plus he needs time to pack, etc etc kan. so 29th is a good date. Insya'Allah no more changes.
29th Jan is one month away!!
(I'm so excited and nervous although it's only an engagement! Whawhawhahwha)

alalalala u all so sweet ni. how do people come up with all these sweet ideas, when all I can come up with is, eat at some nice place. (pathetic kan, aku punyer surprise also got to do with food. hurhur) Why not we all be lesbo partners, me suhaila shakirah shereen and passerby (eh! semua nama start dari S! - other than passerby la. How abt passerby reveals her real name. who knows it starts with S too? hehe) then suhaila can write the poem and sing the song, shereen boleh main guitar while passerby plans the day and shakirah thinks of all these cutesy little gestures, and you all surprise me? hehehe.
I'm still deciding what to do. In anticipation of this day, I bought 2 tops, haha. I also made Mazreen rest at home today so tomorrow he will have loads of energy...
.. to do.. what? haha. I've got no idea. I really don't know what to do tmrw, other than watch Ocean's eleven and eat someplace. I want to do that cable car idea, but I get a bit jittery on hanging things like that. Hurhur. I'm bad at singing, and I can't write a poem to save my life. sigh. Whatever I'm not doing tmrw, most probably I'm doing on thursday coz we are going on another date on that day.
I shall think some more and plan again. But dont be surprised if it turns out just like any other normal date, coz I sometimes get struck by laziness and anxiety or something and will just get a can't-be-bothered attitude and do nothing. hehe.
but thanks you all for the ideas. sweetness.

i hope Mazreen won't read this blog anytime before next week. hehe.

I want to plan a date for Mazreen this saturday.. but it needs to be something that will allow us to have time to watch Ocean's Eleven. I dont want the boring movie - makan - walk around date... I want something new to do, but nothing too elaborate, but we need to watch Ocean's Eleven this saturday coz he really wants to so we have to fit the movie into the plans. I'm going to buy / book the tickets tomorrow... but other than that, is there anything that I can surprise him with?
Please please please tag, give ideas. I really want to give him a pleasant surprise, to make up for being such a bitch to him for the past 2 weeks, but I've got no idea what to do. Please help give ideas.

Water Runs Dry - Boyz II Men
We dont even talk anymore
And we dont even know what we argue about
Dont even say I love you no more
cause saying how we feel is no longer allowed
Some people will work things out
And some just dont know how to change
Lets dont wait till the water runs dry
We might watch our whole lives pass us by
Lets dont wait till the water runs dry
We'll make the biggest mistake of our lives
Dont do it baby
Now they can see the tears in our eyes
But we deny the pain that lies deep in our hearts
Well maybe thats a pain we cant hide
cause everybody knows that were both torn apart
Why do we hurt each other
Why do we push love away
I've always loved this song.
We dont even talk anymore
And we dont even know what we argue about
Dont even say I love you no more
cause saying how we feel is no longer allowed
Some people will work things out
And some just dont know how to change
Lets dont wait till the water runs dry

Farah Maria and me planning a trip to Bali. I suggested it since Mazreen going to be in India for 3 months next year and I want something to be happy about, to take my mind off him not being around for 3 months. Haha, kental eh. So thank God I have these 2 wonderful people who wants to go travel a bit also.
Budget $500.
Farah's doing the booking of the flights while I go look for hotel rooms. Most probably first week of April.
Not sure what I'll be doing at Bali, since I can't surf or suntan, I don't do clubbing nor drinking. If we have money, probably spa and a bit of sightseeing. hur.
Bear in mind aku belom bilang mak bapak aku, but insya'Allah they will let. I expect a bit of nagging though, like how I have to save money and can't go travelling and such, but hey I have my arguments all ready in my head.
--
aku dah blog 3 kali tau hari ni. bored semacam. there's nowhere else to go (on the net I mean) I'm meeting Mazreen tonight, and I'll be sleeping alone tonight coz Aisyah overnighting at a chalet by her Farah. Aku jeles how it's so easy for her to sleep over, while I got hell when last time I told my parents I wanted to sleep over at some friend's chalet. And that was when I was like 16++ while Aisyah is only 15+!
The eldest child always gets a hard time eh?
oh yea. im meeting Mazreen tonight. Thinking of bringing the car out to the carwash and we can do a SooKee advert in there (you know, the one where the girl got that diamond bracelet?) Hahaha. nonsense la. Most probably I would be cowering up in the seat coz I actually get scared by those furry machines. The last time I went with my sisters to the automatic carwash at Shell Tampines, my sisters were so cool while aku tengah stress tapi kena aksyen cool pasal I'm the eldest...
Like I said, the eldest child always has a hard time.
--
Heard that one shipping co is getting SIX months bonus. *gasp* If I get six months bonus... hmmmmm. Endless possibilities.
--
Oh man I'm so bored I could cry. I shall write a letter to Mazreen now ok.

Suhaila's tag made me sit up and think for a while. In the midst of all these panic attacks and preparations for the tunang, I forgot the negatives of an engagement. Like, kalau putus tunang. God forbid.
Major scariness. I mean, 3 years is a long time to be engaged. And I have heard stories of how tunang times are supposedly the hardest time of your coupledom?
(although Farah did comment yesterday - 1 year plus into your engagement, you have to start recce-ing for pelamin prices and all. *eyes pop out*)
I once talked about this with Mazreen.. that I was scared if anything negative happens. Kalau putus tunang. He said all this is fated. Kalau dah kawin pon anything can happen. (Na'uzubillah) You must have faith that it will work out and then work it out.
(suddenly I'm so proud of the bf. he makes so much sense sometimes)
It is scary la. It's so easy to get buoyed (sp?) up by the whole event, but at the end of the day I know it's our relationship that counts, that the relationship is the one that needs more work than any event put together.
Takut memang takut. But then who's not scared of the future? This is quite an act of faith - I just have to have faith that things will work out, Insya'Allah. Do my part, he do his part, and leave the rest to fate, to God's will.
Meanwhile, let's have a party! hurhurhur.

Weekend was good. very romantic (hurhur) very simple yet sweet.. esp after a whole week of arguments with M - and a particularly bad one on Thursday night which left both of us very pissed off with each other on Friday. We didn't call each other the whole day, other than in the morning to wake me up. And I wrote him a long letter but not knowing when to pass it coz I didn't want to be the one asking to meet up first.
So finally at 7plus as I was going home from work, he sms wanna meet up? cheh, mcm cool nothing is happening like that ah. so i said sure. he said he'll call me once he reaches home. At 8 he called saying he needs to go TM first to get something, can I fetch him from there. So I said ok, 8.30 I'll meet u there. Asked if I should park first and all, he say tak payah. He got on the car, I drove off and he put those chocolates on my lap. hurhurhurhur. and alalala, on the cover he wrote sweet stuffs and all. Very pathetically I told him I didn't buy him stuff, but I wrote him a letter. So I passed it to him and he read it very silently and by the time I finished parking at Changi Village he has only finished reading halfway.
And what a difference the letter made. He was so nice, so sweet after that. Haha. We ate, and then we went to Changi Beach - woohoo, so cliche, haha - and jalan2, and talked and laughed, and then we watched planes passing while talking and laughing somemore, and then he sent me home.
Saturday, I went for Kak Farah's nikah.. and entah kenapa aku kental, but I was tearing up when the tok kadi was like saying what are the guy's and the wife's responsibilities, and all things to do with marriage. tak sabar betul. whawhahahaw. After the nikah, we went downstairs, ate a bit, stayed til 7ish to talk to mama's friends. Then I went home to change and meet Mazreen pulak to go White Sands M&S. Bought the roll-on at M&S, walked around White Sands, and went inside SportsLink. We had so much laughs inside there, so klakar. Mazreen bought an adidas frisbee.. entah bila entah nak main. Went to the VCD shop after that. Ended up buying 4 VCDs..
- Ocean's Eleven
- Fahrenheit 9/11
- Gladiator
- The Ladykillers.
I chose the last 2, he chose the first 2. He sent me home, and then he went home to change and then came over at abt 12 to watch the vcds. in the end watched satu vcd ajer - Ocean's Eleven - coz Aisyah was sleepy and we couldn't watch without Aisyah around so Aisyah went asleep and I talked to him outside for a while and then he went home. That was abt 2.45am.
Sunday was the wedding. So tiring teramat menyungguh. I took pictures but will post up later tonight or something.
So weekend was fun. To me it was so cliche - all those walking on the beach, chocolates - but it was sweet. Hehe.
Met Farah for lunch yesterday at Fig & Olive. I missed her so much so it was good to see her again. Thanks for the treat a gurls, ur the sweetest. Next week's on me. We talked abt the engagement and us growing up and about HDB houses and all.
I had a sudden panic attack on Sunday when I realised I'm so not prepared for the tunang. I haven't sent the kain for tailoring, I haven't bought anything, I don't even know what I'm going to put on the dulangs! My parents are adamant they want to make the makan2 downstairs, citing lack of space in the house as a reason. Of course I had to be against that and argued with them on sunday night saying whatever happens, I don't want to make it bawah block. It's so nonsensical. My dad then got so pissed off and my mom said some other stuff to rationalize it, but I still didn't want.
Until mazreen said yesterday afternoon that i get dosa for making my mom feel hurt and all that.. coz kalau my mom don't get something that she wants, she'll get hurt and i'll get dosa for that and stuff like that. and he said I got to see it from my parent's point of view - they are excited, let them do whatever they want la. First daughter and all. Then I said they should wait for nikah la. Then Mazreen pointed out that my parents are already cutting down a lot of people la, like my dad's close aunts also he's not inviting, and my mom also. Plus he said we got to choose some stuff already, like date and ring and watches, so let my parents do whatever they want also - he echoed what my parents' said: I just sit inside the room and look pretty only.
sigh. I'm so annoyed that there are so many things I cannot control. And I can be quite a control freak sometimes so this is really stressing me out. It was supposed to be a simple, small affair!! Instead now it's ballooning into some huge thing which I can't control and like farah said, nie baru tunang, belom kawin. can u imagine.
I had been reading Alfian Saat's blog for the past 2 days. And its so good I tell u. Kalau ada time, go read all his entries ok. He has a way of looking at things that is so complex sometimes it takes a few read throughs to finally understand.
Below are some paragraphs I copied off his blog just to 'show-case' his work..
- Factors that play a part in the choice of a carriage: the availability of seats, one's privacy requirements, and the presence of some cutie to fix one's eyes on during the train journey. Of these three, the last one is paramount for me: the greatest menace presented by public tranport, (where routes are predetermined, where passengers are bent on affecting the absent looks of those in transit) is boredom, and the best antidote to boredom is beauty. Mental ravishment plots its own barefooted and meandering tracks.
- I want to shower you with affection, I want to hurt you with a hail of indifference. I want to whitewash my past with you and start anew, I want to blackmail you with that same past and insist we start again. I want you to leave your telephone number on my caller ID when I am not at home so I can decode it as a confession of love forever locked within seven missed numbers. I want to call your handphone from a public telephone and keep silent hoping that you will distil the background noises: the carousel of children's laughter, the traffic growling on the sweaty streets, my palm greasing the mouthpiece, into one helpless sob. I want to hold you and let you go. I want to kiss you and push you away.
- But then again, is love *really* mutuality of affection, or as some sickos would suggest, its martyrdom? All the things I think I know come from vicarious sources, watching friends get swept up with meeting the new person, where they realise they are as much in love with the person as their reflections in that person's eyes; reborn, made new, their life story now a novel event, to be accompanied by exclamations of awe from the other side, murmurs of wonder, there is a congruence now in its details with the other person's, they have been through similar elations and suffering and that justifies them coming together to uncover the secret of a shared joy or the source of a common pain.
- One day you let someone take your heart apart, you let that someone inspect its tiniest, most delicate mechanisms. And when that someone's gone, you try to put it back together again, but you find that it's ticking differently.
- Ho Po-Wing tells Lai Yue-Fai that they should 'start all over again'. He should remember what Heraclitus once said: 'You cannot step twice in the same river.' Meaning, since the river is moving, since there is a phenomenon known as time, it is never the same river. And neither is that person the same man.
its so good that i was sad when I reached the last page (meaning the first entry). Just the same feeling you get when you have read a good book and you don't want to reach the end coz it's so good but you know you will coz you're gobbling up so much of the book at such a fast rate.
Another good blog is by yblalat but I forgot his blog add. You can google his nick YB Lalat to find his blog. It's mostly a composition of short stories (some very sexual) but it's so good la.
I made a mistake reading Prozac Nation this morning. I have been so emotionally unstable (haha) since last night and reading Prozac Nation only made me feel more... wanting to be depressed so I have an excuse to hole myself up. Not that I want to do that - not when there's so many pretty things to see and do - but I feel so tired sometimes by the mundane tasks I do everyday.
I got a sudden feeling of wanting to take leave for a week from 26th Dec onwards til New Year and arrange a surprise vacation for my family.
Tapi duit takder. SIGH.
I dislike Sheila on 7 with such a passion. It's like a personal hatred within me, eversince Mazreen told me his ex surprised him with their concert tix a few years back. I sometimes feel like I can never match up to whatever his ex did and I would poison my own mind thinking of stupid thoughts which in turn poisons my relationship with M.
Sigh.
Such stupidity. Such immaturity. I ought to grow up and focus more on the present and future rather than the past.
I'm very tired today. I spent the morning doing work and finding faults with M over the phone and through SMS til he couldn't take it anymore and ignored me. I spent lunch hour eating bk big fish and had a 40 minutes nap. M called at 2.10 and I was refreshed. Life's good again...
.. except that I'm still tired. My hormones are creating havoc within me.

I turn into a psycho when I'm having my period.
Today's my first day and I'm getting hellish cramps and all Mazreen has to do is say one wrong thing and I will scream at him for the next 1/2 hour. Somehow he knows it will happen when it's that time of the month but it still makes him all upset and confirm he will ask why are you like this to me when ur having ur period?? haha.
that 'haha' at the last part of the sentence is not like funny haha. it's like, a sad haha. a sad haha makes a cik saha.
hurhur.
ok that was crap. cik saha is my uncle who looked shocked the last time I wanted to salam him (coz maybe mcm dah tua gini masih nak salam dia cium tangan ke) so I stopped salaming him and now he looks like he expects me to salam him so I'm not sure if I still should or not.
back to the story. I pity Mazreen sometimes. Even I realise I am being psychotic but I can't help it. I think my period 2 months ago or something, I was this emotionally unstable person who cried watching cartoons (!!) It wasn't like this last time when my period was very irregular - it would come once every 2 months sometimes, then 3 weeks later it comes again, then 2.5 months. nonsense like that. but for the past 3 months it has been very regular - 14th on the dot. which is good, I can prepare for it, go work bring pads and all u know?
but there's no way I can prepare myself for the psychoness. I feel like I've got anger oozing slowly thru my pores now and it's all waiting to erupt and explode.
Just now's pissed off situation: I said to Mazreen I want to go Sentosa. (altho aper aku nak buat kat sana, tak tahu at all la. i hate my tudung getting messed up, I hate being sweaty, I hate walking distances. I just felt like saying I want to go Sentosa. Psycho Part 1.) Then Mazreen said, tak nak ah... I nak pergi dgn kawan2 I... nak main beach soccer.
So I got pissed off. FINE! Go with ur friends. From now on do everything with ur friends ok! etc etc. Psychoness like that. He was like a bit shocked.. "Da.. (he calls me Da -shorter form of Ida, which people close to me use to address me.) I main2 la. Kita pergi laa nanti."
Me being pissed off (and having stomach cramps at the same time didn't help at all) alternated btwn ignoring him and shouting at him.
Sekarang fikirkan balik, kesian betul ah. He sure didn't deserve that at all.
--
But kan. I realise he's super nice to me if I complain that I got cramps. hehehe. He'll carry everything, he'll ask if I want drinks la, he won't sing out loud, he'll talk to me ultra gently. etc etc etc. So sweet :)
--
I had the ultra pedas (and by that I mean ULTRA PEDAS) mee goreng from the new shop downstairs for lunch 2 days in a row. yesterday I had it and I went to the toilet at about 5plus. Today I decided to have it again to really clear it out. Sekali I suffered in the toilet I tell u. Mcm cannot get up at all from the toilet bowl.
so moral of the story. don't eat pedas mee goreng (or pedas food in general) when ur having ur period coz u'll be stuck on the toilet bowl for ages ok.
--
my blog gets a bit too personal sometimes eh. I blog about my bowel movements la, I blog abt my arguments with mazreen la. it seems like nothing is too personal to blog like that. haha.
no la, actually i am not the geli-geli sort of person when it comes to bowel movements. I don't mind listening to people describing their shit and all. it's quite interesting and after reading thru this website for colorectal matters, I feel like I want to be a colorectal doctor ah.
tapi the thought of looking at some ahpek's hairy butt turns me off.
BUT i realise there might be people who might get disgusted. Sorry hor =D
as for those arguments with Mazreen. i guess it IS personal tapi if he doesn't mind me posting it up, I don't mind also. Our fun moments far outweigh the bad ones and I blog about that too so it's fair to all the moments that we have. The bad moments won't say they don't get their 15 minutes of fame kan. Plus, without sunshine there won't be rain. Or without rain there won't be flowers. Something like that la. U know what I mean kan. Without those arguments, we won't really appreciate the happy moments as much.
Mazreen's the best. super duper muper yuper best.
--
My dad suddenly feels for Arnold's chicken tadi and said to my mom tmrw we all shall dinner there! Woohoo! I love Arnold's chicken, although Mazreen doesn't think they are that great. To me they are the best chicken, other than the chicken that my mom goreng.
speaking of my mom. I love her. she's the greatest mom ever.
Today's my first day and I'm getting hellish cramps and all Mazreen has to do is say one wrong thing and I will scream at him for the next 1/2 hour.

I love my dad.
I've never told him that before, and the only time I blog abt my dad is to bitch abt how I'm so angry about some curfew he impose on me or some thing he did to make me 'miserable'.. but I do love him lor. I love my mom too, but then that is another story. I just want felt this gush of love for my dad today... starting from when me and M were in the car tadi, and I saw a cab stopping in front of us.
See, my dad has a full-time job as a technician but he drives a cab once a week - either saturday or sunday. And my dad's so hardworking he starts driving at abt 6 plus in the morning and comes home at about 10 at night. It's not like we really need it coz I think without him driving a cab, we are already comfortable on his salary alone but my dad wants to give us a better life - all those holidays and makan luar all the time and all sorts of nonsense the 4 girls in the family (the daughters + my mom) gives him.
My dad and me, we aren't that close. As in, there are some dads who goes shopping with just their daughters and all... my relationship with my dad isn't like that. We have dinner everyday together and sometimes on weekends we go out as a family.. Occasionally I buy presents for my dad, or my mom would, just to surprise him. Coz my dad is the kind who, if he likes something, he still won't buy until he reeeeally needs it. And we are the ultra traditional kind of family where there isn't any hugs given. The only physical contact btwn us is to salam each other. And my dad is so ultra fierce I tell u. We can joke around and all that but there are some things that he is dead set about it and there's no way I can change his mind sort of thing. My dad mcm traditional way of showing his care.
today tak tahu kenapa mcm emo nak blog abt my father and all. I hope he somehow knows I love him, although I don't say it or show it sometimes.

it's 1.38pm and I just woke up, felt a bit disoriented - kenapa mcm so silent the house - sekali realised everyone's at the chalet. Called my mom up and she said she was on the way to Kak Ana's house for her bro's engagement. Bising2 why she never wake me up and she was like, leceh lah nak ambik Ida kat rumah lagi.. gi tido sudah. nanti petang datang chalet.
so here i am in front of the computer in my unbathed hungry state of being. Called Mazreen up tadi nak tanya if he wants lunch or not, tapi he didn't answer the call so I'm assuming he's still asleep. Kesian dia semalam one whole day full of activities like that. He had to work at 6AM and got home in time for his sis' nikah and then rewang cuci pinggan mangkuk and all til 5.30pm and then he had to take over as photographer til 7.30 and then he went home and changed and followed me to the chalet pulak til 11.30pm.
I had to work yesterday and at 1pm rushed home straight, naik cab. Sampai rumah, changed into the grey baju kebaya and rushed out - cab again - to Mazreen's house. My grandaunt etc was there, and aku pantat teramat berat... I actually didn't do anything at all. I just sat down and chatted with his eldest niece and then watched Mazreen karaoke - heh. The only thing I did was transfer kueh onto another plate at Kak Lin's house. I was shy lah. I asked Kak Lin - his eldest sis - is there anything I can do... and she said I could help bersihkan meja.
I was a bit speechless then. I didn't know if she was joking or not. Hehe. Coz there was already a pakcik and M's male cousins cleaning the table... and I was wearing heels. So I went off konon macam nak cari dulang, and instead asked Mazreen if his sister was joking. Hahaha.
Then datang balik to that area and sat with his sis-in-laws again. haha. I'm hopeless. Nasib baik in about 10 minutes my parents sampai so we went to eat together.
I was so restless there. At abt 5.30 when the whole thing was over and they were clearing up the place I started bugging Mazreen to cepat2 so we can go chalet pulak. I would feel so much more comfy with my family la. hehe.
Sekali lepas tu ada phototaking (not that I minded coz I got to take a pic with the sis while the whole house looked on and I was so malufied I grinned like a mad person into the camera) and after the whole stuff, we took cab to my house while M waited outside and I changed and we took cab again to the chalet.
Then halfway through Didi asked us to buy drinks at Cheers so we took kak ayu's lorry to downtown east and bought the drinks and took a cab back to the chalet. then sat around somemore, ate, watched raimi open presents, and then took cab home. mazreen was, by then, so terribly penat he slept in the cab and I think he didn't even realise I went down from the cab. For once he didn't send me home, hantar mcm gitu ajer, and I was like a bit pissed off but then mcm kesian jugak he being so tired.
Right now I'm so hungry I'm having a headache. Kenapa si Mazreen tak wake up ni!! I FEEL for roti john at serangoon gardens la.

I'm on MC for 2 days. Yesterday and today. I had inflammed tonsils again, which brought about fever.
Tapi kan, semalam lagi sakit2 mcm nak mampos gitu, and I was on my bed in my sweater and socks and all, my mom was bising2 in the kitchen saying I never make any effort to go beli kain for the engagement etc. So in order to appease her, I went to get ready and made my dad send us to Arab Street, armed with loads of tissue packets. Walked for about 2 hours before finally collapsing at Royal Fabrics
Actually tak collapse la. We just found the right kain there - feeling was something like finding Mr.Right, hehe - at that shop. First off, my budget for the baju is just $100 tau. (excluding tailor la) tapi ini kain, sungguh punyer cantik, cost abt $200. (discount of $4 ajer. so pathetic. me and my mom tak pandai tawar-menawar la) I was hesitating coz its like so out of my budget range already, but my mom liked it so much that she paid for it.
I went to the website and tried to look for the pic of the kain tapi takder. It's caramel brown or something like that, and.. pretty. Hehee. My mom say don't send to our usual tailor at JB.. instead go hantar at Kak Ana's tailor which is apparently very good at Tampines instead.
And my mom also tried to make us happy by saying it's actually cheap coz I can wear it for Hari Raya again - so tak payah beli baju banyak2. And nanti siapa-siapa nak tunang can loan to them and charge money, hehe.
Reached home, dozed off in front of the tv, then my mom told me to eat medicine. So I did that, and went to sleep. 8pm. Woke up at 7 this morning and sms the office, and then slept til 10.

My blogskin is nice eh? *bangga smile* Something's wrong though, coz there's that script pop-up thing. And the pictures are shown under the "link" link, which doesnt't make sense but I really have no idea how to change the "link" name to a "picture" one already.. and I can't be bothered to change la.
And something's wrong with tagging also. Kena press two or three times eh? so its ok kalau ur tag come out a million times, I'll just go to tag-board.com and delete the unnecessary ones =)

Mazreen might have to go India with the army in the first week of February, which means he might not be here in SG during the engagement (and on my birthday!)
So we thought of bringing the engagement date forward but after many discussions with parents, we decided not to, and keep it on the 5th ajer.

I should be sleeping right now. It's 2339 and I'm working tomorrow and I'm so tired but I'm waiting for Mazreen's call. Dia kata nak call back tapi I won't be surprised kalau dia dah tertido, and besok baru call and apologise like mad tau.
I will stop blogging at 12am and sleep.
So lets recap. Last time I blogged was on Thursday.
Friday - reached home from work at about 8pm. Met Mazreen at 9pm, bought Mcdonalds food for dinner and ate in the car, tapi instead of having fun, we ended up arguing.
Saturday - he called at abt 12pm when he just woke up and I was at work, said he didn't know I was working and apologised for not waking me up. Somehow I melted. Haha. So all became good again. Told him to fetch me from work. Dia tak nak, said he promised to meet his friend instead. I got annoyed. but somehow I feel for a movie, so I put aside the annoyance and asked if he nak tengok movie.
I want, dia kata.
So I went home, sempat had afternoon nap, and at 3.15 he called asked what time to meet.
Met up at 4.30, took train to Century Sq, tapi roundabout habis - simei to pasir ris to simei then change train to tampines. mcm budak bodoh betul. coz i wanted to go Marks & Spencers, so i told him we go to Plaza Sing la. Dia nak dekat2 ajer, so thats why dalam train mcm undecided.
Watched Alexander. Someone (or rather, someones - a couple) took our seats coz they wanted to sit with their friends. So they were apologising and I was saying its ok, why not change our seats, tapi I guess not loud enough or something - until si Mazreen with his loud voice said authoritatively, "where's your seats?" the ppuan of the couple terus told us the seat no, and Mazreen dengan muka slumber dia walked off to the seats. Tak sempat the couple say anything.
Alexander is the funkiest war movie I've ever seen. Or maybe it's not a war movie. Whatever movie it is, it's funky la. That Alexander is bisexual I think, so the movie had all these lustful stares between men, and there was this freaky Indian-ish guy (i think it's that Rhys guy in Bend It Like Beckham) who looks like a cross btwn a man and a woman - I know there's a word for that kind of look tapi sekarang I dunno what's the word. hurhur. Cerita tu funky betul ah. Esp the part when the bestfriend was about to die tapi si Alexander tengah feeling about something, so he was like walking talking to himself or something dengan penuh perasaan and you can see in the background the bestfriend gasping. As in, really gasping mcm ikan yg baru keluar dari laut or something, he was almost flopping on the bed. I didn't understand that part, unless its to show that Alexander is a bit inconsiderate or self-centred tak kisah pasal orang or blind or whatever to his friend's condition. Kelakar la. Waste of money also, don't watch. TROY is much better. WAY better.
Had dinner at KFC after that. Window shopped at Metro and then took bus home. Mazreen ate durian at my house and then he went home.
Sunday - Blood donation early morning with Mazreen at changi simei CC. We didn't get side by side seats, and in fact his turn was abt 5 minutes earlier than mine, so by the time I was getting started, he dah nak dekat habis, and he gave me all these cute looks across the room so I got nicely distracted from the pain of the needle going into my arm.
Went to work after that since it's my duty today, and Mazreen accompanied me and while I was doing work, dia makan food we bought from McDonalds earlier.
After work, fetched my parents and went JB. Went to Larkin, where we were thinking of scenarios of me and Mazreen getting to know each other Larkin-style, and then we bought ramly burgers and ate them in the car and went to Mazreen's kampong, and I now know for sure that my bf is one kampong boy. No wonder he feels so comfy in his kain and all, can naik moto somemore in his kain. He was unfazed by the many insects - esp mosquitoes - surrounding him, in his search for durians and whatever fruits his late grandfather's land might have. So kampong boy. So cute la. Went perling after that, did some supermarket shopping, bought my Cleo Malaysia, and then went to Singgah Selalu and makan black pepper crab, and then went home the Tuas way.
so that's my weekend.
oh. Lydia sms me last night, saying how come I didn't tell her I'm getting engaged. Seriously honestly I was goign to just invite her when the day is getting nearer, sekali I guess people who knew that I was getting engaged - either thru this blog or however way they found out - told her and then she told me she's upset she wasn't one of the first to know or something. Thing is, she doesn't really have a reason to be upset - she was one of the first people that came to my mind, abt who to invite, coz she was there during my primary school days with Mazreen, she knew what happened then (hehe) and she knows now too, so she has to be there. I want her to be there, but I wanted to just invite her when the day is nearer..
sigh. it's a difficult position suddenly. i wish i could fast-fwd to 3 years later and make it a wedding bawah block (Insya'Allah if all works out great) so I can invite anyone I want. probably write my address here in this blog so whoever nak datang can do so, u know? but this tunang, I'm trying to keep it small, and already I feel that there are some people who should be invited - coz I want them there - and yet because of some constraints, I can't invite them and I feel bad.
On top of all that... My parents are also bugging me to:
1) pergi beli kain for baju tunang and send to tailor
2) bersihkan bilik sekarang
It's in exactly 2 months time. today's the 5th wat. (Happy Birthday Abg Aim in Vietnam!)
We were supposed to get engaged yesterday actually tau. We wanted to make it on the 4th of Dec, tapi his mom thinks it's too crammed a time coz his sister's getting married next Saturday. So we push it all the way til next Feb. Which is good coz I feel like there's so many things to take care of and I haven't even started.
And nie baru tunang!
I can't wait to get married though. Hurhur.
(alahai. I forgot to write about that pantang-larang thing. Besok or whenever I shall.)

Pics of me and Farah on the way to Indoor Stadium, and about 3 pix of us in the Indoor Stadium. Some pictures we look stupid, but who cares. Hurhur.
--
Taufik Batisah just came on the Suria news, abt him winning SG Idol. Seeing how it was like being shown on tv made me emotional lagi la, mcm feel so glad that he won.
--
Chatted with Shereen on msn this afternoon. She put the rumours to rest, hehe. The ones I heard about Mazreen fetching her once last time with the basikal. I've always asked Mazreen about that, and he keeps denying it, saying it didn't happen and I didn't exactly believe him because I thought he's just being his sweet self trying to stop me from getting jealous or something. Sekali apparently it really didn't happen.
Kurang ajar kan budak yang bilang aku pasal ni.
Shereen also mentioned how it is so sweet that M is my pri school friend. That while most people have to settle for looking at pictures of their boyfriends when they were young and all, I got to experience it live la like that. As in, I got to see him in the flesh with all his cuteness and all. True true. I remember seeing him with his celakfied eyes at school for a few weeks - I guess he was going through a phase then. Those celakfied didn't suit him at all tau, although he did it for a good reason.. coz he's so fair and all, and his eyes dah besar already, but with the celak, it just gets...erm... funky.
Still cute though :)
The other time at his sister's house, when his sister's colleague baru sampai and sat with us on the couch while we were playing the xbox game.. Then his sister introduced Mazreen, said "this is my youngest brother, the cutest, most handsome one amongst all of my siblings.. betul tak Shida?"
I wanted to answer no, coz if I said yes, mesti si Mazreen ni banggafied tau. Tapi tak kan depan kakak dia nak aksyen gitu kan. Haha. So I said "yes, but then of course I'm biased aper." hurhur. He is gorgeous lor. Even compared with the Taufik Batisahs and Brad Pitts, he's still the most gorgeoustest :)
Not just the face. The person too.
And the funky things he does tau. Tadi he went to fill up his moto petrol after work, and he had only $5, so nak top up $5 ajer la. U know how petrol stations have those stuff where u put it at $5 and it will stop filling up once it reaches that amount? Mazreen put it at $5, tapi when he look again, dah fill up sampai $13. Haha.
So he had to call his campmate to come down and pay for him first, and while being embarassed waiting for that guy to come, he called me to complain about his bad day.
I tried to sympathise, or whatever the word is, tapi honestly it was funny to me =D
Now he's at home sleeping. I told him to sleep today off, and Insya'Allah tomorrow will be a good day.
Tomorrow's our9 years 10 months. He might have to do detail throughout the night til Saturday morning so that kind of sucks big time coz I haven't seen him for 3 days and I was hoping we could maybe get dinner tomorrow.. He has already asked for a change or something, tapi no reply yet. besok baru tahu. Kadang2 geram tau dgn this army.. always spoil people's plan ajer. I hope he gets to come home and we get to dinner together lah. Da lama kita tak berjumpa. Hehee.

Tmrw I want to blog about old people's sayings.. like tak boleh jumpa tunang selalu, tak boleh bebual selalu, etc etc, and the confusion it is causing me... Sekarang Aisyah nak pakai computer.

Taufik Batisah just came on the Suria news, abt him winning SG Idol. Seeing how it was like being shown on tv made me emotional lagi la, mcm feel so glad that he won.

Tomorrow's our

So I took leave or timeoff or whatever it's called and left the office to meet Farah to go Indoor Stadium early. Went Mcdonalds at Kallang MRT and Farah tortured me by making us walk all the way there. Punyer lah jauh. And panas. Nasib baik bawak payung, so although we look stupid and Japanese-touristy, at least we were shaded from the hot sun kan. Decided to pose for pictures with the pretty (small) umbrella - will post up pictures tonight.
Reached the Indoor Stadium and sat by the river or whatever, read our 8 days which Farah stole from her office, and then sat somemore.
Fast forward to the show itself lah eh. Aku malas nak berlong story about stupid things that happened.
Taufik was good! I voted abt 12 times for him, nasib baik dia menang, kalau tak wasted six dollars. When he sang that Mrs Jones song, brought tears to my eyes. It was that good lor. Was a bag of nerves - mcm nak collect O'level results - bila time to announce the results. When his name was announced, e'eh terlupa for a moment where I was at. Jumped up and hugged Farah (macam as if I was the one who won) and cried some more, and hugged Farah somemore and basically cried and grinned. My six dollars wasn't wasted! A Malay won! (ok I don't mean to sound rascist, but it feels good to have a Malay winning, coz its usually the other race yg excel, you know?)
That Mrs Jones song was good.
Found out his birthday is on 10th Dec, so any Taufik Batisah fans reading this (*cough*FARAH*cough*) go send him birthday cards or wishes or greetings. He's on Friendster too
Ruffedge or whoever punyer song "Bila Rindu" is on Ria now. I like the tune of the chorus la actually, tapi Mazreen spoilt the song for me coz got one time in the car he heard it, the part where they used words ending with -ong... like bohong, lohong, lorong, sorong, or whatever.. he thought it was funny and made up his own lyrics with words ending with -ong that doesn't make sense. Tong Kosong semua keluar.
dah 3 hari tak jumpa. mcm rindu like that. hurhur.
im very happy Taufik won lor. He sang so well yesterday.
He reminds me so much of Kamal.
We took cab home last night. Walked down to some ulu part, ran some parts, and Farah commented that we would provide good entertainment value if we join Amazing Race. hurhur. I'm so glad I went with Farah lor, kita boleh feeling2 and crying2 and clutchingclutching hands and make fun of Dick's name togethergether. Feeling fifteen last night. But it was fun la a gurls. Thanks hor.
Have I said it's been 3 days? Tmrw's a monniversary... he remembered.
He's so sweet tau. Smlm he called about 11 plus, asking where I was at and told us where to take cab and all.
I have a headache.

uncontrollable semangat kentalness tau.
we are going to the finals tonight kan (cheh, mcm kita yg about to be the idols tau) and talking to Farah this morning on the way to work has made me more excited! Actually dah nak jumpa at 6.30 ajer, balik dari kerja... until I pointed out to farah that if we meet at 6.30, means we won't be having dinner at all. So we plan to ask for time off from work, meet at 4 plus maybe. Then Farah brought up banners. Hurhurhur. She say kita beli Lime mag kat sana, dapat those black thing that says "VOTE FOR TAUFIK" But I feel that's too.. uniformed. We should make something of our own. Since afterall dah go all out with our outfits. (she's wearing bright yellow. I'm wearing red. Which is something new coz I always only wear black white blue or brown) So anyways now we planning to meet at 3 to make our banners (please note that I say making banners with a lot of embarassment, hehe) .... if kak su and farah's boss lets us go back early lah. I'm going to plead... after all, its a once in a lifetime sort of thing kan?
I feel adrenalin in me now. Hehehe. Tengah chatting on msn with farah. Both of us too high to do work. Nasib baik hari ni tak banyak kerja.
Mazreen laughed at me, said he never knew he got kental gf. hurhur.
