I BOUGHT A CAR!!
ok.. *takes a deep breath to calm down*.. it's a Proton Waja brand new, but I bought a weekend car since I can't afford to bring it to work, what with ERP and parking charges at this building and stuff like that. Plus weekend car is a whole lot cheaper, i pay $17,000 lesser than for a normal car, and road tax is only $138 (when my cousin's normal car costs $1300!)
Weekend car means I can drive only from 7pm to 7am on weekdays and after 3pm on Saturdays. And I can use it on Sundays and public holidays. If on peak hours I want to use the car, i've got to display this coupon that costs $20 for one day usage (available at the Post Office)
Today after work, I got to go to the Proton office again which is at Teban Gardens with my dad to sign some more docs. The car is under my dad's name of course. Insurance and all that much cheaper.
...Oh yes, forgot to mention..
..The car costs S$75,119 actually. Minus off $17,000 for weekend plate, and a few discounts here and there, (trade discounts they call it??) and it came down to $50,800 (excluding road tax, insurance) My ultra-beloved parents paid for the downpayment actually, $3000. And then I added leather seats.. *grins*.. which costs $1248, monthly payment of $12 only! So now I have to pay $528 per month. Parking costs $65 monthly.
I'm soooo excited!!
So anyway, as i was saying, i got to go choose colour today. And im going with my parents and my cousin Abg Aim, who is going to be the guarantor for the car. Oh ya, forgot to mention also that the car is under my dad's name coz insurance would be way cheaper then. And i can't even be a guarantor coz I'm under 21. But who cares. It's my car!!
So, the colours. there's only 4 colours available for Waja. The one you will see on the link above is silver. There's this nice champagne/dark brown colour, an arctic blue and a dark green. I don't want dark green (too malay *ok yes i know im malay but I dont need a malay colour car ok*) and I don't want silver (too common) so I'm thinking dark brown. but my mom wants arctic blue which is realy nice. So i chose arctic blue.
what can I say about the car? hmmm... i bought it on Sunday. I wasn't even planning to buy, but the salesman is damns good ah, he was going on and on about how taxes going to rise to 5% and that's going to be an additional $3000. And COE is going up too so car's going to be more expensive. Etc etc etc. So ya, without thinking, i bought it. *excited grin again*
... the plate number is going to be SFF____(insert no)__ i dunno the number yet actually, but the guy said it's going to be SFF. My car, i'll be getting it hopefully by Chinese New Year. And since I gotta work on CNY, i can drive it to work! Ok yes I know my driving is very bad, and I haven't touched a steering wheel in the whole of 2003. And even when I drove (is it drove or drived? *confused look* Suddenly i feel like Jessica Simpson - chicken of the sea episode) last time, I couldn't park. Usualy my dad parks for me or I take nearly half an hour going in and out of the parking lot as if the car is having intercourse with the lot. But then that was a Trajet which was huge, hard to manuever for a beginner driver. My Waja's cool. *grins excitedly again*
what else can i say abt my car.... hmmm... So far i told only Farah and Mus. farah's been such a sweetheart, she was really happy for me and proud of me and all that, I owe her trips man on that car!
alrights i shall end this entry here, it's nearly 11.30am (im at work) and I want to email farah for a bit and check my other email accounts and all that.. and then 12.30pm my parents's fetching me and my cousin to go Proton showhouse.
i'll post up pix of me and the new car once I get the car and once I have the time to make a website to post the pix!

new online journal. (new book one too actually) i've always wanted to start a journal other than at CF because I've become uncomfortable with some people reading my journal.. I don't mind those close to me reading it, or complete strangers, but not those who I don't want to have anything more to do with him sort of people u know? So ya, after countless attempts to set up a new site, here I am.. and there you are.
